Over the past couple of weeks, the notion of giving and receiving has come up several times.
Often, good-hearted people get addicted to giving to others but hesitate when it comes to receiving.
More often then not, this hesitation or reluctance to receive stems from a feeling of guilt or the feeling that “if I receive, than I’m not truly giving.”
Here’s the deal folks: giving our best goes hand-in-hand with receiving the best that life has to offer.
Generously giving our best, gratefully receiving life’s best.
By shying away from receiving, we are in fact denying another from the joy of giving.
Without receivers, givers would be out of a job and without givers, receivers would get nothing.
The beauty of it all is that we don’t have to choose which role we will play.
Instead, we get the privilege of experiencing both.
After all, there is joy in giving AND receiving.
