Embracing My Right-handedness

Growing up I always wanted to be left-handed.

In my eyes, it was cool to be a lefty. “Why?” you ask. Because in every group of righties, there is always one, maybe two lefties and I could be one of them!

INSIGHT TIME: I wanted to be unique. I wanted to stand-out. I wanted to be different.

The reality was, I could be unique, stand-out, and be different by being who I am and what I have to offer. It really wasn’t about which hand I wrote with, it was about the impact and presence I had when I walked into a room, in my every day conversations, and so forth.

Fast forward to the present day.

My question no longer is “what differentiates me?”

My question is “what differentiates me that connects me to others?”

So cheers to the lefties out there and power to my fellow righties.

Ultimately, it’s not about what hand we write with, it’s about WHAT our hands create and what we do with what we have.

Happy Thursday Every One!
