“Designers have an essential social responsibility because design is at the core of the world’s largest challenges…and solutions. Designers create so much of the world we live in, the things we consume, and the expectations we seek to fulfill. They shape what we see, what we use, and what we waste. Designers have enormous power to influence how we engage our world, and how we envision our future.”-David B. Berman
And these fine folks at STATE Bags (@statebags) have got your back…and your heart. #GiveBackPack
“The purpose of our lives is to give birth to the best which is within us.”-Marianne Williamson
More often than not, we all long to be reminded that we are “so worth loving” and this is what is at the heart of this lifestyle company who just so happens to be called So Worth Loving (@soworthloving).
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is.”-Albert Einstein
When Hannah Brencher (@moreloveletters) was feeling sad and alone, and didn’t know what else to do, she unknowingly did what we are all asked to do…to add a little more love into this world.
Happy Tuesday dear friends. May this day ahead reveal the miracles that are all around you but more importantly that love that is within you. Our World Needs Y(our) Love. It isn’t a question; it’s a Connoisseur of Life statement.
PLAYBIGPLAYNOW Invite/Challenge:
My dear friend Tara Shanahan shared the story of Addie-a 6-year old from Fountain Green, Utah who has a condition that causes atrophy to her brain. Given her current condition and the deterioration of her brain, the doctors have informed her family that little Addie has a year to live (I believe God has the final say). What makes this story even more heart breaking is that Addie’s father passed away unexpectedly last weekend. Here’s where YOU and I come in. For Christmas, Addie has requested holiday cards for Christmas-that’s right, not toys or gadgets or even a trip to Disney World. And so my invite to us is to help make this little girl and her family’s Christmas the most memorable and meaningful one by sending her a card (she adores handmade ones.)
For anyone interested, you can send Addie and her sisters a card to:
Addie Lynn and Sisters, P.O. Box 162, Fountain Green, UT 84632
