2. Berenstain Bears #bookreview
I grew up reading The Berenstain Bears book so when I had the opportunity to read “School Time Blessings,” I thought, “why not?”
When you read a lot of non-kids books, it’s always nice to switch it up and read something written for a little one. This book is full of colourful illustrations and like all Berenstain Bears books, has some sort of lesson attached to it. In this book, the children are facing a bit of worry and anxiety as they head back to school and mama and papa bear offer them love and guidance. In this particular book, scriptures from the Bible are shared and the kids are introduced to the notion of God. God as a source of guidance, comfort, and love. They remind the children the power of prayer and lead by example as they pray as a family.
The story is cute. I found it a little cheesy but that’s just me. The overall message of the book was sweet and if anything, it’s a reminder to you and I that worry and anxiety do not have to rule our lives. God can:)
*Special shout out to Zondervan for helping me relive my childhood.
