Life on a tight rope.

I am often asked, “how do you become present?”

Being present is a gift. It’s a gift that you share with others and a gift you give yourself. It is about being in the here and now (not one second in the past or in the future but 100% in the now.)

Being present requires awareness. It requires focus. It requires intention.

Being present asks you to let go of all that was and all that will be and embrace the moment you are in.

This past weekend, I had the privilege of spending time with 3 incredible individuals (Drew, Austin, & Joel) spending 3 hours flying from trees. We zip-lined, we walked across tight ropes, we swung from logs, we went across monkey bridges, climbed suspended ladders, and more. It was a test of mental AND physical strength and endurance. It required focus and the courage to let go of fears (fear of height, fear of not being good enough/strong enough, etc). It required trust in yourself (and your harness). More than anything, it was a game of being present. Each step required focus, putting one foot in front of the other, knowing that that was key to getting to your destination.

Treetop Trekking is like the game of life. It is full of obstacles/games with each giving you the opportunity to push beyond your own preconceived limits. It offers you the chance to laugh, cheer, scream, and just be in the moment. It shows us what we are capable of doing when we trust ourselves and the people around us. It’s a chance to conquer fears, have lots of fun, and be completely present. It’s about knowing that right now, this moment….it matters.

If you are ready for some fun, physical love, and a chance to be completely present,

Here’s to being in the moment.
