Saying, “I do.”

Relationships come in all shapes, sizes, and forms.

A relationship occurs between people.

A relationship occurs between our self and our work/careers.

A relationship occurs with ourselves.

Many were fascinated when they heard that I was embarking on The Playground Project.

But what exactly sparked this adventure?

The answer: the need to keep the spark in my relationships alive.

I had fallen in love with my career but realized that with every relationship, I needed to put the time and energy in it to keep it exciting and evolving vs. turning into just another “routine” and having “same old, same old” mentality.

I also realized that by investing myself in my career, I was also investing in my other relationships.

How?

By committing to be my best self (which means saying, “Hell no” to monotony and mediocrity and “Hell yes” to excitement and evolution)

And so, The Playground Project was born to fulfill the adventure junkie in me.

As I stay fresh and focused, I am able to give more of myself to the people/world around me.

Ladies & Gents,

our relationships whether between people, with our work/careers, or with ourselves, require time and effort.

Without consistent attention and TLC,

a relationship of love turns into a relationship of like;

a relationship of like turns into a relationship of “it’s ok/it’s fine”;

a relationship of “it’s ok” turns into a relationship of “I don’t care”;

a relationship of “I don’t care” turns into a relationship of “I don’t like it”;

a relationship of “I don’t like it” turns into a relationship of “I can’t stand it”;

a relationship of “I can’t stand it” turns into a relationship of “I hate it.”

The key to maintaining the spice in your relationship(s),

saying, “I do” to being and giving your very best…and then, going out and doing it.
